EQ Crash & Return to Login when Entering World

Hey everyone,

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, have tried on several different occasions to get p99 up and working with no luck.

Returning player after a long break - first time installing on new PC happened on previous windows version & now again since ive upgraded to windows 10.

Fresh install, no issues getting to character select - however when I select enter world the game either freezes with the music still playing, or I am returned to the login screen after 3-4 minutes. I have tried multiple times with new characters, or existing characters on Blue. I was however able to create a new character on red and login first attempt. Have tried on both wifi and wired in with same result.

A friend was able to login in on my network with no issues.

Hi Briefs,

That is super frustrating. I put together a video on a bunch of common fixes for crashes. Give these a try and if you are still having issues I can try to help you troubleshoot them!

Thanks! I will try a fresh install tonight and adjust to run as admin & compatibility mode as well install on my C drive vs D drive.

I'll let you know how I make out.

I've completed a fresh install - no issues logging into Red, crash everytime i log into Blue?

So weird.

having the same issue here and doing a fresh install this morning, but im willing to bet its something to do with the launcher. I was previously using a shortcut with C:\Users\The Gaming Temple\Downloads\EverQuest-Project1999\EverQuest.bat" apparently on the install instructions we're supposed to use launch titanium.

"Included in the spell files is Launch Titanium.bat - this is the file you will use to launch Everquest after you have completed the remaining steps."

Trying to launch via launch titanium with, start eqgame patchme, produces the same result, I make it to character select, enter world, then get The server is not responding.

ok so, fresh install to c:\p1999, v55 update, launch titanium, "windows can not find eqgame'

No luck yet

recopied launch titanium to my fresh install, got it to launch this time but im still getting 'the server is not responding' when trying to enter world. idk

I am still able to login into Red and play, however the same issue persists logging into blue or green.
