I was practically cyberbullied on Live for being a ranger main. I still think it's a fun class, and a capable DPS/utility class and glad to see more on p99 that aren't just rolled for track.
Recently rolled one to add to my alt army. Was going to twink the hell out of it but just started playing and having a lot of fun.

What do people solo on their rangers at 60?
I've not attempted anything too impressive. I've done most of the TT cycle stuff (sadly not harbringer iksar face) and the Frenzied Velium Broodling (which would have been much harder had I not had PoTG on), but mainly ranger seems strongest at ploughing through greens (with their low avoidance skills and decent DS helping out). What is the class really capable of? | ||

Well I mean a level 60 Ranger with raid gear gets some powerful tools. A slowing proc epic, a clicky haste to stack with worn, regen, attack buffs, ability to kite while maintaining damage through arrows until you have favorable melee conditions. I know back on Kunark a level 60 Ranger could solo Lucan dlere, pretty impressive imo. As long as the mob doesn't summon..

If you can snare/root it and doesn't summon, you can kill it. Even indoors if room to kite and maybe some sow pots.
Face tanking really high end mobs solo with no fancy pots or clickies never really worked out for me, but it doesn't for most melee.
