Outdated Spell Files....
I logged last night prior to the server maintenance. Attempted to log on this morning and got the outdated spells message. Logged off, downloaded V9, unzipped to proper folder and said "yes" to all. Tried to relog and got same outdated spells message.
I've gone through this process several times, I've used the Dux Installer tool (complete installs and some just #13 for spells. I've restarted my computer etc etc.....no go. I still get the same message. Can someone tell me what incredibly stupid thing I'm doing or forgetting to do that is causing this problem? Thanks :-) | ||

Maybe you have two EQ directories and you're installing to just one of them. Stranger things have happened.

Stranger things have indeed happened and I'm usually the one that makes 'em happen. In this particular instance I made this post and tried to log on again ... successfully. No idea why it was messing with me but it fixed itself. I did nothing after making the post and had been denied just prior to posting. Oh well....it's a quirk I'm willing to live with if it allows me to play classic eq! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It is certainly true that computers know when you're talking about them. Often times that is all it takes...

move EQ out of program files into C:\ and run option 13 from my installer again... your issues should go away.
