Once everything becomes no-drop... basically in PoP+, ya you can have 100% accountability. But since they made raid loot tradeable outside VP, ya you can't know where all that shit goes.

TMO obviously isn't the major force behind RMT at this point in time -- IB is. They left and sold their guild bank to Plat Lord. Then individual members sold off all their items and RMT'd their plat or highly liquid items. You'd have to be an idiot to believe that TMO members weren't at least a few of the people buying up the fire-sale via RMT, but that's not really the point.

The point is that people will always quit P99. Recently, it was IB. Now, a lot of VD are leaving. Eventually, it'll be TMO. And when people quit, they don't want to leave their uber loot rotting in bank. They want to cash out. That's natural. Currently, there are almost no barriers to that market. People sell because they don't care if they get caught; people buy because they know they won't get caught.

It's not a guild thing. It's a server thing. Theoretically, anyone quitting will sell off their items/character/plat. High end guild members just tend to have more valuable items/more plat/better characters.
