Class Forums
Dear admins,
I've no idea about the costs, but I think class forums would be a great idea to be added to this forum. The wiki was a first great first step to gather the almost lost EQ knowledge again at one point. I'am pretty new to the server and board, but was reading it for a couple of months. And I've got the impression that there wasn't really a place, where i should put question on regarding class mechanics or quests/armor etc. For example I've did a post about the necro skullcap questline a couple of days ago and i didn't really know where to post it. Is it more a "server chat"ish kind of question or does it belong in "technical discussion"? I don't have any idea how a forum is working. So i don't know if there would be some extra cost/work involved for you. I'am pretty sure that you'll easily find one or two moderators, who would be proud to look after their own class specific sub section. Plus I bet 90% of the people can't use the search engine right, so it will happen that the same questions like "ARE THR PHAT LEWTZ FOR MY NECRO???!!?" will be asked over and over again. But when having a class specific forum it would be much less work for them to scroll through maybe 3-10 pages. I know that one special part of Everquest is the research you have to do on your own, but i don't see that one dieing with my idea. You'll still have to do your research on your own. These forums won't give you a walkthrough, but it will help. Looking forward to read your comments. | ||
