Default Pet-Canni

In classic I was always able to reclaim my level 49 earth pet for a return of more than 200 mana. Was there ever a discussion over why this "classic" mechanic is not in game?

With specialization fixed now, you should get 20 mana back with each reclaim (cast for 180, reclaim for 200)...less than just medding but maybe useful for times you can't sit.

Are you sure you could to that in the classic era, and that you're not just thinking of Luclin onward?

If so, you should do the following:
  1. go find an old (pre-Luclin) post on some message board, using the Wayback Machine if necessary, that says something to the effect of "I just made 200 mana by cannibalizing my pet"
  2. (optional) find a few more pieces of evidence (ie. more posts)
  3. file a bug with links to your evidence

The developers here always want to make the server more accurate, so if you do the above they will likely fix things.

Those are really good points. I think I was in my mid 40's when Luclin came out so maybe it was a Luclin thing. I just don't recall a Luclin change that would have given more mana for reclaiming. I'll do some digging and see what I can come up with.
