Why won't certain games start on my netbook?

I downloaded Alpha Centauri from gog, wouldn't start after it was installed and run.

Decided next time to get a demo first and make sure the game could run on my netbook. Grabbed the Neverwinter Nights demo, it worked fine. Downloaded NWN Diamond from gog, installed it, IT won't run.

Wth!?

I figured the problem was resolution or something, but if the demo ran then why wouldn't the actual game? Other games like Baldur's gate run fine on this netbook.

Hmmm, where are you installing each different game?

Windows 7 is probably your culprit.


It absolutely hates old games.


just google some support.. some games have work arounds.. some don't :\
