Default Rogue Skill: Evade

i honestly never played a rogue pre kunark, so i can't say with 100% certainty that i am correct on this, but it seems that Rogue Skill: Evade does not work.

turning off auto attack and hitting hide was how Evade worked on live, but after talking with a few rogues, ive been told the skill does not work here.

I have seen our elitist rogues say other rogues were bad for NOT doing this.

So if evading was doing nothing I would certainly get a hearty chuckle at our elitist rogues.

Pretty sure the rogues who say evade is broken are the ones who suck. I've watched rogues evade during combat and lose agro. Easy way to tell is have see invs, and you can tell if the rogue is evading.

While I agree Bisch, it is certainly possible that upon gaining aggro (we will say the rogue is not at "600" aggro, the tank being at "500") that when the rogue turns attack off, hides, and turns attack back on he has lost "100" threat simply from not attacking while the warrior was.

Requires testing. Mostly for the hope that I can lol at rogues.

When searching for bugs prior to reporting, it's best to search from the Server Issues subforum. Doing so would get you this result:

pretty sure you're evading wrong.

When i played a rogue you had to hide/sneak together to evade combat. Not just hide.

Who knows tho, maybe i'm wrong lol, but that is how i've done it on P99.

Not how it worked on live.

It was turn off attack and hit hide to evade.

It's been working pretty well for me on my rogue ever since I maxed out my hide skill. It doesn't work everytime, but more often than not even when it fails, having turned my auto attack off to activate the /hide is usually enough for the tank to regain aggro (especially a knight!!)
