Reminds me of the last xpac I played on live, seems lazy that they keep having to grab at their own 15 year old content; makes me wonder if this ones just going to be another $40 xpac made halfway out of old content by giving the npcs new weapons and stats like they did with half of Velious for RoF.

First of all I have to say, that I think all the expacs are terrible.

But I will handle this by RP'ing that EQ LIVE is basically the realm of the gods - while project1999 is norrath.. just a regular earth like planet, occupied by mortal Men and Dwarf, Troll and Ogre.

On live, the quest for power has taken some past the realm man, further into the abyss than even the alter planes. It has taken them far from the grassy fields of the Karanas or the wild forests of kunark. Long have they forgotten their icy trek through the frozen tundras of Velious.

They have ceased to exist in this mortal coil, they have embarked on a journey beyond the clouds where men have become gods, challenging the reigning deities to battle for control of the universe.

But... I prefer our simple life. I prefer helping the citizens in queynos keep the corrupt gnolls at bey, of great men farming dragons. I prefer keeping the world clean of cuthroats and bandits, shadow wolves and gore hounds. I prefer the beachs of the shining city of Eurid. The fresh untouched air of Iceclad beating against my ringmail coif and tunic.

I prefer the simple life spent in Freeport North, the commons. The world of Norrath where the most dangerous dungeons are full of still just mortal fo's.
