Default How are the following classes in PoP? (Agnarr thread)

Unsure of which class to roll on Agnarr when it comes out.

How are enchanters? Are they as powerful as on p99? What about necros?

Rangers are good and will be my default choice. Monks are outshadowed by bards when it comes to pulling, right?

Are warriors fun to play?

Enchanters will have Dire Charm, Bards will have /twist and Fading Memories, and Warriors will have AE taunt (use it to guarantee you have aggro). Those things are all pretty OP.

The Agnarr code will be broken, though, just like Phinny, so Monks and Mage pets will be ridiculously OP.

Something that hasn't really changed over time: Mages are the best at quickly leveling, Druids are pretty good too.

Necros and Enchanters level a bit slower but are better at accomplishing shit in solo/small group once they cap out.

Isn't charm completely broken on live? I mean I went to HS on a lvl 60ish necro on a regular live server and couldn't keep any green skele charmed for more than like 2 ticks, making it impossible to do anything charming.

As far as the 65 game goes:

Bard, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight and Wizard; all do relatively better than they did on p99.

Cleric*, Warriors and Enchanters are about the same.

Magician, Monk, Rogue, and Shaman; all seem to be comparatively more powerful end game on p99 than they were in PoP/GoD (last expansions I've ever played).

* Clerics aren't any worse than they were in p99. But Druids and Shamans are way better at healing and Clerics are no longer necessary for every group.

"Halfling rangers will likely be restricted to Luclin launching like they were on Phinigel."

If I remember correctly, most people like Paladin more. Shadow Knights can pull though, and they are also better at solo. Paladins only get damage from + melee AAs like Warriors. Shadow Knights however, need to get + spell damage and + melee damage AND - mana cost to casting spells AAs to upgrade their overall effectiveness in the same manner. So Paladins have kind of an early AA advantage.

Regarding Mage pets, what exactly do you mean when you say broken? In comparison to...P99?

Because P99 mages pets are not classic at all and are dumb down tremendously. Not saying this isn't one of the best classic experiences any person can get, but I'm just saying they flat out broke mage pets on this server.

Beastlord is a god-like class similar to Monk in Velious. It has Shaman heals and utility, a mage pet and monk melee. It is a great solo, small group or PvP class.

But you wont be able to play it until Luclin is out.
