However, all of this is thrown out the window including your alertness and uncertainty when you go to let's say a club? Cause anytime I've been to a bomb ass dive I'm not the one grinding my junk up on several strangers. The real complaint here is "I'm a woman, I don't want to be objectified as some sex object" but women on the regular place their vagina on a pedestal and throw their gender out in the open far more than men do, in a sense you objectify yourselves and become quite shocked when *gasp* men look at you sexually. The following women are empowered and don't want to be objectified: <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/D0KyEFvQxaY?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/_2uGLVoPRpE?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/o9Epbo9sw6g?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Now I'll stop objectifying when women start doing the waltz over shaking their ass, getting breast implants for the sole purpose of vanity, and not roll into the clubs in packs and fingerbanging each other to bad house music so the frat guys will say "ayyooooo!"

Holy shit, I almost agreed with a post by Abacab.
Rape is a terrible thing and there is no excusing it - especially when said excuse hinges on what the victim was wearing - but it's hardly so common place that one should need to worry about it happening 'at any time'. Yes, as a male, I don't have to constantly watch out for the dangers of predatory males (though it should be pointed out that cases of male rape do occur), but unsure as to why the same cannot be said of men worrying about other serious violent crimes. I could be set upon by one of the knife-wielding gangs of 15 year-olds that prowl the streets where I live, and I don't think it's too unfair to draw a comparison between being raped and being repeatedly stabbed or kicked to death. Each has their own drawbacks. The statement of 'fact' that rape can occur 'at any time' is a bit iffy also. I hate to be one of her male friends spending time with her while she constantly watches my every move lest the reprehensible nature of my gender springs to the fore and I pounce on her in the middle of Taco Bell. Douchebags the majority may be, but few men are actual sex offenders.

Most rape is actually date rape, as in you know the person somewhat and the person takes advantage of you wile you are drunk/high/vulnerable, and as such is the most prevalent and non-discussed form of rape in the United States. I however don't agree with the "always gotta watch my back for rapists" argument that has been presented because as it could happen it's more likely to occur in places where there is more civil unrest (Africa, South America, parts of Asia) because forcible and malicious forms of rape tend to be the by product of wartime and lawlessness. So to recap... Passing out drunk and getting fucked by some dude at a party is what most likely occurs in the U.S Roving gangs of gun wielding rapist tends to isolate around third-world nations (Somalia, Dafur, Nicaragua, Eastern Europe etc.)

abacab, you're sounding like lydia lunch. Not all women are whores, and not all men are rapists 8] I don't go clubbing because it's shallow/stupid/boorish/musically appauling etcetc. I guess everyone just wants to be desired, and if everyone's ass shaking, a woman asking for a waltz isn't going to have a hope in hell of tearing a man's gaze from the ass grinding his junk.
Tbh, I think it's more likely that women are this way as a result of man's objectification. Don't most men think about sex most of the time? I see men checking out women everysinglefuckingmomentoftheday, especially when the woman is oblivious to it. Most women feel an innate pressure to compete to feel secure, probs because most males are just hypersexual and always drawn in by the allure of something new, amirite?

Did you know the highest infidelity rates come from women? Did you know most sex shops cater to women over men? Did you know statistically speaking women and men aren't that far apart on sexual frequency? Most men don't think about sex all the time, if the opportunity arises yeah men will try to get their nut off but it's hardly the all-consuming thought that you are portraying it as. In fact men are mostly selfish with sex, they'll bust a nut and roll over to play video games, women on the other hand want longer build-up and prefer something a bit more enduring than a "minute-quit it" so in my opinion women are far more sexually active when they are in the mood for it. It's not mens fault for the objectification of women, that has been brought on for the gender through a long history of using sex to sell. Every major historical figure that was female (Cleopatra, Queen Victoria, Catherine the Great) used sex or the ability to procure children as a staple in manipulating men into war and positioning themselves for comfort, luxury and power... and while me would take women as "spoils" in those olden days men didn't use their dicks to conquer the world, they used ultra-violence same cannot be said about women. Also, women only feel the need and pressure to compete because they are shallow in those instances. If you got to grind your ass on my dick, or essentially give up the pussy on the first date to leave an impression that you're a competitor in the game of relationships and security, then like I said you are shallow and lack any interesting qualities about yourself, thus trying to sleep and breed your way into comfort and security.

In regards to objectification, men like seeing women looking sexually attractive, ergo, women dress and behave in a 'provocative' manner to increase their chances in mate selection. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement; men get eye candy, women get more potential partners. Potential is the key word there though - just because a woman looks hot, doesn't mean she wants fucked by all and sundry.
In a civilized society, if a man can't control his urges due to what a woman is wearing, it's not the woman who has the problem.

You can't say the reason there's a market is because there was once a market. lmao. I absolutely agree with your last sentence though.
