Miscellaneous: Rune of Catalyst

Beginning to believe that the rune of catalyst drop rate is bugged.

I have checked oasis, SolA, OOT, NK, EK, HHK CC, rathe mtns merchants for the runes. I have found 15/16 lvl 34 spell runes, only 1 i havent seen is Catalyst.

I have solicited 10+ people farming giants, cyclops, spectres, and griffons in the above zones to tell me when the rune drops to send a tell. No one has seen it in awhile.

I have been farming HHK goblins and Mistmoore CE for awhile and havent seen it.

I checked auction tracking and i haven;t seen the spell circle of force for sale in many months even though many are looking to buy.

Is this just an ultra rare rune, am i killing the wrong mobs or is it bugged?

I've found a few Rune of Catalyst on the Ogre merchants in the Feerrott, so I am going to assume that they are dropping off the Specters there and people are selling them to said Ogres.

Hope you find them, the 34 AoE wizard spell is great!

I think certain runes are more likely to drop in certain places, but I don't remember exactly where. Vendor diving is good but if there's a long time between resets you get a lot of junk to dig through. I think places I've had success hunting 34+ wiz runes:

Erudin
FV
Cabilis
Rathe (all vendors gypsies/evil too)
EC
WC

Remember other people likely hunting same runes, so if they buy them out and new people sell runes to that merchant again they get buried. Cabilis was good cause not too many wizards frequented those merchants, Erudin (palace) was good because newbies aren't usually filling the vendor with dumb shit cause no one goes there.
