I picked up one of these chestplates by accident recently while keying an alt.
I was surprised by how noticeable the 5 regen is. I'm sure it would be even better for shaman. If you buy one for 10 and end up selling it for 7 when looking for a real fungi I'd still think that was 3k well spent.

Just continuing with the above post, seems like they pretty heavily stay at about 9k to 10k. If anything buy it if you can, then sell it when you're ready to upgrade to a fungi or need the 10k plat for torpor or whatever. I had one until I was about 10k short for a fungi so I sold it for what I bought it for and got the fungi.

Thanks for the input y'all.
Since I'm going to try to avoid MQing my epic I think this'll be my short-term goal.

It's a good goal. Any worn regen is very noticeable regardless of your race. It is exceptionally useful on a shaman even 51-60 (pre torpor). I'd honestly plan on wearing it until you can afford a fungi.
