I keep blue screen'ing

Ubuntu is another operating system which is free from bluescreens. If you run it from a disk, it is not dependent on your hard drive. You can then take out any files on your HD (assuming it's not completely roasted) that you need and put them onto a usb stick. Then, physically remove your hard drive from your motherboard, venture into the wilderness, build an altar, douse your old HD with the flammable liquid of your choosing and set it aflame for dishonoring you.

She is still capable of getting on the computer to get any info/files she needs. the crashing is 3-5 times a day she said.

There was "no bootable drive detected" this morning, couldn't access anything. I'm not super positive what that means, but Sean says it's probably a hard drive problem.

It's going downhill quickly bros, I want the bluescreens back :c

I didn't. I was going to proceed with the two recommendations listed earlier, but now it won't even boot up.
