Where do you think it should be? I viewed it as people who like going to war for the thrill of it or because it's their inherent nature, which sounds chaotic neutral. Ogres stomping around not specifically to hurt anyone else or for personal gain, but just because they want to. People of that alignment are motivated most by self-direction and stimulation.

Not in this setup! I think that change is very thematic, since Bertox followers are all about embracing death and letting people suffer. Necromancers are the healers of the faction: they watch people wither, including their own bodies, and use magic to keep everyone in a continual cycle of decay. Evil Erudites can be Psionicists instead of Clerics (thematic because the other Erudites are against using magic that takes control of people's minds, the thing they value most).

I maybe should have listed this faction as Chaotic Evil, and the Dark Elf faction as Neutral Evil.

Nazi regime can be described as Lawful Evil, for example. Iksar society is extremely similar to that; very regimented and orderly. An example of Chaotic Evil could be the Trump administration.

On the FV server, there *was* an alignment system. Erudites from Paineel were Lawful Evil and had no choice but to be.

Here you have them as neutral evil.
