% on a default interface didn't happen until like four years ago. I think everyone just knew a bubble is 20% as there's five of them.

I normally say the percentage but don't bother with the m. So just fm, 60, 30, LOM, OOM. That's about the size of it.

Fennin Ro here since classic, always have reported mana by bubbles as in 1m, 2m, etc. I thought it was a little odd that almost every time I grouped on this server someone asked what I meant or why not use %. Thanks for posting this!! I am no longer forever alone.

there you are, in a lower guk group, the tank just pulled 5 mobs , your group kills them with no deaths, and then the tank asks "hows mana?"

how do you answer this question?

I have always been old school , even in EQ live in current times, even here with the percentages clearly posted prefer to answer in the 1 - 5M format "2m" meaning 2 bubbles of mana, vs 40%.

I have even had people ask me what I mean by 2m etc, they had no clue what I was talking about.

so how do YOU answer mana checks? the "bubble" format or Percentage format?

I've never seen the bubble method...I've always used percentages.

I also played on Fennin Ro and recall it being in bubbles. I also played on a Tholuxe Paells, Vazaelle and Firiona Vie and it was always percentages on those.

Yep, back in '99-2000 it was always bubbles (or rarely a nice round percent) due to a lack of percent overlay. I recall saying 1b, 2 bubs, etc.. The "blue experience bar" was also not in existence back then...that yellow exp bar just seemed to stand still for soooo long!
