You could get a month of grind and mild entertainment out of it if you like simple stuff.

The lack of FTP option should tell you its a scam (it is a scam based on the fact they used Eve Online, Ultima Online, and DAOC's name to market this game. It is not up to snuff on any of those titles on graphics, gameplay, or mechanics)

Its a bare bones open world grinder with cellphone rules (can't see players in the city over a certain population cap, deletes all players from showing up).

Dungeons are not DAOC quality even, they are cellphone quality. Meaning: untextured, repetitive, simplistic, grindy, with combat that is Leagues minus a lot of map movement and dodges. No jukes on boss fights, no jukes on named. Bland, basic.

It will go down in history as the biggest MMO fraud of all time in another month or two. But that doesn't mean you can't get something out of it if you're desperate. Its not worth money. But if you have money to spend, it will give you the aforementioned features and a steady grind progression system.

That's a really high bar. (Warhammer Online, Age of Conan, Everquest: Next, etc?)

Let's put things into perspective, shall we?

29 months ago, Albion Online was a kickstarter page. Nothing more. It was an idea by some college kid. Now it's a massive world, with a single server, complex economy, that runs cross platform.

It's not a perfect game. But we're 29 months in, and it's hitting a lot of key notes that have been missing from the genre.

The server stability needs to work out some kinks, some of the mechanics need tweaking, but it's a good game. If they continue to improve server stability and combat (add some more skillshots/league style abilities), it's going to be one of the best MMO's of all time.

As long as they don't sell-out and go more casual/PVE friendly, I'll continue to play and love the game.
