How well can wizards solo?
Having not played a wizard since 2000, I recall having difficulty BOTH soloing AND finding a group. Is this the case here on P99? Are there any particular solo tactics anyone might recommend? Just curious!

Before level 29 its a pain tbh. You can solo before that its just really slow. Once you can quad its just fine solo. Also, 56+ wizards are great in AE groups which are excellent exp.

Yep, just gotta get to a high enough level that you can quad and you should be golden to 60. Although 55+ most quad kiting areas dry up exp wise but are still viable options to level to 60 in the event that you have no one to group with.

you won't be able to compete with thee xp rates of the pet classes and you won't be able to take down nameds easily...but you can quad kite.
jboots (sow potions or friends with sow) and t-staff otherwise, straight up snare kiting. Wizards are very good in velious content, and even though you may not be able to find a group instantly in a dungeon you can port...so you will be able to be lfg in multiple zones (on live I would bind at seb bubble and port to GD for velks). In the end, I always preferred to find a group and grind it out.

Root & nuke until 29. Quad til 60. Get in AE groups whenever you have the opportunity.
Getting a regular exp group will be very difficult.

Level 16 Wiz, soloing has slowed down a lot, but it's still relatively safe. I feel like it's worth it to just solo in a zone you wanna group in and wait for a group to open up.
