Finally just started playing here on P1999 after retiring from EQ back in 2005 and totally loving it. I tried out your duxaui ui mod and I really like some aspects of it but not all of them. I'm wondering if theres a way I can get only your player window with the extra info on it and the hotbutton window with the bag slots on it to work on my default ui. I tried copying just the 2 files for these 2 windows into a new custom default folder and loading it but it didnt work.

Alternatively all I'm really after is a player window with the xp bar and current/total #'s for hp and mana on it and a hotbutton window with the 8 bag slots on it. If theres any other mods out there with just these 2 things that work with P1999 I'd greatly appreciate the info [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Basically looking for something as close to this player window as possible though the AA bar isn't necessary of course and this hotbutton window
Hey, welcome back to EQ [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Unfortunately a lot of the elements rely on each other, and so its not possible to just grab 2 and import them into another UI :/ It would have to be a rewrite from the ground up.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Totally fresh install of titanium. I run daxa's installer. It sets gem icons correctly, velious UI correctly, but I can't get the daxa ui to load.

if I type /load velious I get the velious UI
if I type /load daxaui I get the default UI
if I type /load default I get the default UI

Am I missing something basic? I even see a daxaui folder in everquest\uifiles, but trying to load it only gives me default

Did you run it as Administrator? (Right click Run As Administrator).

Do you have UAC on (if on Vista or Windows 7)

Is EQ installed in C:\ or Program files?

That looks correct... no reason it shouldnt work. Is your default UI modified in any way? It does rely on some components of the Default UI to function properly.

I've tried the following:
* fresh EQ titanium install, then run your installer.

* fresh EQ titanium install, make changes in the Updating Your UI thread, doing the following:

Quote:
1. Default - Download the FULL UI >>>here<<< and unzip into your Everquest\uifiles\default folder overwriting all files. This will make sure you have a fresh 'default'. Next download the Project1999 UI updates to make it compatible for this server from >>>here<<< and again, unzip into your Everquest\uifiles\default folder overwriting all files. When you load up Everquest your UI should look like this:
after those steps, then run your installer

The velious UI seems to work fine. When I try /load daxaui there is a pause, and then it goes to default. It looks the the behavior of a corrupt install.

Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot? I could
* zip up the d:\everquest folder and put it somewhere for you to look at
* share my desktop and walk you through my install process live (takes only a few minutes)
* post a step by step guide of what I'm doing with screenshots at each step

Thanks for your help debugging this, I really appreciate it! I really would love to get your UI working [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I never did the Updating Your UI thread step and I have never had a problem at all with mine. I even went on EQInterface and found a few little mods from around 2006 that work just fine with the default UI as well.
