Shaman weapons

Hey guys . So I’m restarting my 39 shaman. Gearing him up now (iksar)
I’m torn between what weapons to use.
Should I go fungi staff or rune etched icewurm fang to face tank?

Will be 80% solo rest would be a duo with my brother who’s a mage.

Is a fungi staff worth it? Is it boring to play with? Also if I use a fungi staff does that mean I’ll only root rot from then on?

I already have a fungi and decent haste item.
Haven’t played shaman this far so not sure what way to go

Fungi Staff. You are getting to the point where meleeing as your primary DPS becomes bad. Rune Etched Wurm Fang isn't very good either. The ratio isn't great compared to something like Granite Face Grinder. Wurm Fang is best as a 1-20 leveling tool.

Fungi Staff is a Flowing Thought II item and GCD item rolled into one.

Yeah root rotting would be the way to go. Normally I would suggest getting JBB for 45-60, but you are an Iksar. You can certainly do some face tanking as well if your pet is getting low on HP. If you have to pick between Epic or Torpor, pick Torpor. It's better to be 60 with Torpor and no Epic instead of 60 with Epic and no Torpor.

I was able to face tank pretty well 39-45 and 51-54ish with a 2hb. I went with a Granite Face Grinder.

45-51 was a little rough, but Turgurs evens the odds at 51. Regrowth helps alot again at 52.

Yea Fungi staff is like Ft7. Even if you can cast regrowth it’s a mana savings. Would make life much better until torp.
