Default Need help with making item link chat macro

I tried following this http://www.project1999.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=15922 but I don't seem to have a log folder or .ini files with my character names.

Can someone tell me how to make auction macros with item links or what I am doing wrong?

did you turn /log on in game?

the file may not be created until you actually /log in game.

try using a search on your entire EQ folder for a file with a character name you have used /log for if they aren't going to the default place for some reason.

don't know then.

is it possible that you have two EQ directories and you are looking in the wrong one?

nope, just tried again. What is the exact name of the folder? I can try to create it and see what happens.

run as admin, make eq folder writable by turning off read-only

This thread sorta petered out a few weeks ago... here's my issue...

I can turn the log on, but when I edit the file it only shows "plain english" item descriptions. No string of special code. Is there some trick that I am missing here? Or am I misled that it is even possible to macro auction links?

bump, I have been trying to figure this out -- is it even possible? Yes, shift+ for chat, but I am talking about putting the item link in the macro

anyone know?
