Overpowered/broken stuff is not supposed to be in the game even if it was classic. You don't see necros running around with a pet wielding 2 FS daggers do you?

Also, if this was classic, rogues would have crappy backstab damage and essentially do warrior dps.

A couple months ago when charm was more reliable that wasn't how classic was. I never, ever saw enchanters soloing guk camps on my server, let alone efreeti, FGs, and planes.

And with charm, massively overpowered. Why should you have reliable control over a mob with 4x a warrior's hps and 2x a rogue's dps?

Only x2? As a bard I could charm guards that quaded for 200s. Chanters were in the same boat, but with a better charm!

Try x5 rogue DPS, especially with haste!

I thought about that I made the post.

Regardless, the same idea still stands. Why should someone get a reliable pet that is a better tank than a warrior or a better DPSer than a rogue, let alone both at the same time!

Enchanter is one of those classes that requires focus and understanding of how things work...if you want an easy ride, play a druid or a necro.

One of the best groups I have been in on P1999 was after the charm nerf, we had a chanter charming a mob in highkeep basement and he literally out DPS'd the rest of the group. Mobs would die in less than 5 seconds.

crowd control? essential in some camps? especialy in kunark i wont go anywhere near a deeper sebilis camp without chanter ...

The ENC nuke sucks, and MAJOR Agro
