Can't manage to update my spells file.

Hi there! My wife and I are just starting up, so neither of us have actually gotten into the game as of yet.

Unfortunately, I'm blocked at character creation by an apparent need to update my spells file. I've reinstalled and ensured that I used P99Files45 and copied it all over, etc. To my knowledge, this is the latest spell files package, yes?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! =)

I have been playing for several months, went on vacation and came back to the same issue. Updated my files....I think....but so far no luck. Not sure what to do now.

You're allowing the spells file to overwrite all existing files, correct?

When it says the file already exists, do you want to replace it. I hit yes to all. I am far from a computer wiz, more like a computer moron. But this seams like the right thing.

Yep! Allowed them all to overwrite and such with admin permissions.

I even went so far as to delete all the other folders/files before copying over to ensure they were actually being overwritten.

Thankfully I got it working by copying over my wife's files (despite using exactly the same method on, literally, identical hardware). I'm not sure if I can upload my SpellEffects folder here for those that share the issue, but that seemed to be the problem for me.

Not sure if this will fix your issue, but I was getting SP-1 spell files not up to date.

Grab the http://www.project1999.com/files/P99Files45.zip V45 file un-zip the file in your downloads or folder where they sit and copy each one over to your EQ file area

Example: Take the v45 spell folder copy all the files in that folder and copy them into the spell folder of EQ directly.
Ill post pictures later to better help.

You have to copy every item from the P99v45 folder to the EQ directory.

I decided to try add a few different UI's and i messed it all up. but doing the above work fixed mine also I don't crash now when i camp out.
