Default Wolf Form and Werewolf Form animation questions

Hello Community,

Yesterday I was testing out some new animation fixes and found something curious...

When I was in wolf form, if I ran and jumped it was fine, but if I was standing still and jumped straight up there was no animation, and it looked like the model just lifted straight up. Furthermore, it stuck my character at the top of the jump and I couldn't move or look around. The only fix I could find was /rewind or to put EQ in the background (such as open a web browser). The same thing happened in werewolf form. I did a search and only saw 1 post from 2015 in bug section with 0 replies. Are other people having this problem and it is a long standing bug? I was assured it had nothing to do with the new animation fixes.

Another curious thing that I'm wondering if it is classic, is if I ducked or walked (i.e. turned 'Run' off) in wolf form the model didn't animate (just stood still as it moved around). In werewolf form ducking caused the same behavior, but walking seemed to work fine. Should either ducking or walking enable animations in either form?

Appreciate your help.

What kind of werewolf form are you refering to for clarity? Boon of the garou or something else?
And that's odd about 'getting stuck at the top of the jump'. Were you by chance near a wall or corner, near anything at all?

In bear form you lift straight up off the ground when jumping too. And if you don't have SoW on and set your character to walk it looks like you're sliding around. It's pretty funny actually. long time shaman secret. oops

edit: I think this is the thread OP is talking about? https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=213585
By the by it's sort of ok to necro bug topics if you can add to the topic in a constructive and helpful way.

Are you able to record a video of this? That could help move things along.

I was in the enchanter self buff illusions (so illusion: werewolf and the wolf one). I was in an open area in swamp of no hope. I do not have video but I should learn how to do that via fraps or something else.

Any other enchanters able to test and verify? And maybe druid/ranger wolf form and bard with that lute of the howler?

Good to know shaman bear isn't sticking you when you jump. I don't have that class on my account so can't test unfortunately.

Edit: yes, that link is the bug post I was referring to!

Bear form does the same thing for me when lev breaks. I just sit there in mid air until I duck. I don't remember jumping getting me stuck though.

I'm not sure about walking, but for me ducking has always made werewolf/wolf form just move around without any animation.

This has happened to me in Werewolf Form. I think I had to drop illusion and then duck/sit to get unstuck.. I forget..

As far as classicness of non-animation, Trilogy client says:

Wolf movement (Ignore the laziness-induced sunk-into-the-floor aspect)

Werewolf movement

Not animating while ducking or jumping straight up is classic.

Wolf model should animate while walking, but keep in mind that the client switched to Luclin wolf models and stopped officially supporting classic wolf models long ago, and that animation triggers for movement are all client-side. Off the top of my head, it may be that the Luclin wolf model has a dedicated animation for walking, while the classic wolf just re-uses the run animation with a lower frame rate. When the client sees a wolf walking, it may be triggering the dedicated walk animation, seeing that it doesn't exist on the current (classic) model, and doing nothing instead.
