You could have read the article. :P

Additionally, they do not charge to connect to their servers and do not offer any premium services like those Scapegaming offered, instead existing solely on donations from their enthusiastic fanbase.

There is a very good looking 'Donate' button on the main page that is all shiny and yellow.
Feel it...
Live it...
Click it...

BE the button.

It is your civic duty.

I agree with Smedley... it's an amazing technical achievement, especially considering how close it is to the original game. I am currently working on an MMO, and they are not easy at the best of times. I can't imagine what it must be like reverse engineering server code (AI, NPCs, Quests, movement speeds, cast times and effects... the list goes on).

I'm loving this game already after only a couple of days, and will be donating for sure. I'd pay to play, so donation is a small thing to help.

As a student programmer I would love to read about how the programmers of the server did it. Im just learning about object oriented programing. I dont know how these guys create this stuff. Maybe OpenGL with a physics engine? That would be an amazing thing to read.
