SOE tried this with the Mayong server. It fizzled out once the novelty wore off. Time sinks are what keep people occupied, as much as they annoy us. Without them. EQ would be a chat simulator.

Maybe some perspective, I joined a few weeks ago, fresh newbie.

I've found that even on this mature server that there is still a market for lowbie gear. Have bought and sold things like PBBs and BIMs and Steins of Moggok successfully in tunelquest. Sure you can't flog a PGT but big deal, there's a market for lots of low end gear.

The only thing I would suggest that would improve my quality of life significantly as a levelling, new player would be for this command to work:

I don't give a fuck if its classic or not. Its not game breaking to be able to have this filter work and would help immensely when attempting to setup groups. At the moment you have to trawl through classes which is unnecessarily clunky, and presumably this isn't THAT hard to fix.
