Default purpose of this spell?

http://wiki.project1999.com/Sunbeam
(aoe blindeness)

it a wierd emergency CC for disrupting trains? (causes mobs to run off)

Seems a very odd spell, cant really think of a use for it.

anyone actual used it?

Yea it has no real function.

Its something you load and try to cast when you're doing something crazy and you can't think of anything else that would help.

I'm sure it's amazing in the right situation on Red. Has PvP / PvE grief written all over it. Nm. bleh it's targeted. PB tho... There is a cleric word spell though with PB blindness, I think.

A little off topic, but somewhat similar. What the hell is the point of the Druids beguile plants spell? Are there plant npcs out there that need to be tricked or something?

Another useless spell.

They thought it would be a neat spell but the level cap on it was too low and not enough plant life exist in EQ for it to be useful.
