Heheh.. given that there is nothing expected after Velious, for me, the longer it takes to be released, the better!!

I am an slow leveler anyway, so I'll still need 1 or 2 years to arrive to lvl 60 [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] So... I whish Velious released in 2015!! But leveling in velious is the best ever.... Crystal Caverns, Rygorr fort, TOFS!!!! DN, WW for rangers,druids, KD for funzies. Giant forts all over, Velks, SS, SG for the adventurous.
Who wouldn't want to level in Velious

For Quadders there is othmir, walrus dudes, and wyverns

SG was a horrible leveling zone. Mobs had obnoxiously high HPs/AC for their reward in exp. It just wasn't worth it to go there. The sit/camp trick to port you across the zone was the best thing about that zone.

I think a new classic server with the promise release of content on the real time schedule next time around will be twice as popular. P1999 has been a revolving door for many players due to the extended time of the content. If getting burnt out due to time of releases is 'the problem' you see no issue making people do the exact same content on the exact same server a second time just with more Live like release periods? That's just...a terrible idea. Yeah let's just never expand or build ever. Not a horrible plan at all.

Best plan post-Velious is leave P99 at Velious untouched forever and throw up a second server that makes custom 'Classic' content out of the later expansions. Add new client support or something. That way you have the still-Velious server for the rabid Classic Brigade and a still growing server for people that aren't still stuck in time 13 years ago.

It is obviously a matter of opinion. I can see lots of folks enjoying keeping the old server up in a stasis of classic content forever and ever. I can see lots of folks wanting to wipe clean and start the slate over. I can see lots of folks wanting a hybrid of the two.

Personally, I would stop playing all MMOs and focus on EQ again full time if there were a relaunch of p1999 from the beginning. I'm not saying that I think that will happen any time soon, I'm just saying that I would really go for it and I think lots would go with me.

what about some people who have the velketor wall bug ,u know the one next to CE spawn point wich allowed monks to pull nameds to CE without having to clear kobolds
