You use loaded language.

These items are not stolen, when you drop or vendor an item it is no longer in your possession.

Rest assured your items have probably been up in EC for 25pp off the going rate and snapped up by a tunnel fat cat. You won't see those again.
Truth, there'd need to be players for someone to steal your junk.

OP - Plain and simple answer is no, you will not get reimbursed from a failed drop transfer. Dropping items on the ground is a risk one must be willing to take to transfer items to an alt. The most common suggestion/reply to this question is to find a trustworthy person to help with the transfer, or pay someone that offers a reputable transfer service.

Future reference you can use DaP for Transfers if you have everyone preloaded at rings. Or
Any Fatcat in the tunnels selling anything worth of value.

Never Drop transfer.

That's probably an old post. I'm sure what Swish meant was "This has not, does not, and would not happen on the red server" ... now that you're incredibly unlikely to even have another player in the same zone when you do the transfer.

good one loramin!

On that note I am going against my fearless guild co-leader here and say I have never lost anything to a drop transfer and I have done LOTS of em. Even though you didn't pick a good spot I feel for ya OP.

TIL.

Do they add it to their inventory? Could OP just go nuts on every mob in the zone and eventually loot their items back?

sorry but nobody should trust random DaP alts for transfers

find someone tagged in AM, AW, Rustle, etc - anyone in one of these guilds is going to have a lot of accountability around them
