What's with all the love for monkdruid? You would basically be a monk with with a fungi, a DS, and ports.

How is that more appealing than ANY of the following:

monkpaladin - plate, stuns, heals, harmony that doesn't only work outdoors
monkshaman - chain, haste, slow, better buffs and equal heals to druid, free pet damage
monkcleric - plate, stuns, awesome hp/ac buffs, CH, 2 invuln spells, harmony that doesn't only work outdoors
monkbard - plate, full monk damage while getting full bardsong usage
monkenchanter - haste, slow, stuns, runes, free pet damage, harmony that doesn't only work outdoors

Bard+shaman. Long lasting slow, torpor +selos, casting on the move, snare, lull, charm, canni, double regen. You would have twice the encounter control either of these classes bring solo.

I don't see how this combo is going to accomplish much of anything that a plain shaman couldn't do. The only solid bonus I see coming from bard for a shaman is keeping cantata up for hp+mp regen -> slightly less downtime (even though you already have very little to begin with at 60).

my favorite multi-class AD&D(1st edition) combo was Magic-user/thief, so I guess wizard/rogue...no justification or support, just an answer.
