Default Technical issue regarding changing eqhost.txt file

From the technical discussion thread......

"Lastly, please be sure your eqhost.txt file (located in your everquest folder) has the following in it (and ONLY this, you can edit it using notepad):

[LoginServer]
Host=login.eqemulator.net:5998

Save and close. That's it! This will allow you to connect to the correct login server (instead of Sony's) and see all the EQEmu servers!"

So when I change the text and try to save it, it says Denied. Check with Admin. I am running as Administrator but no go. Suggestions?

I know this is a few days old, but you've probably installed the default location, your program files directory. Move your EQ folder out of program files, to somewhere else such as c:\sony\everquest and you shouldn't have any issues. Remember to update any shortcuts to point to the new location.
