Default Crystalline Silk Threads

Currently they seem too rare and are only dropping 1 at a time.

Should be dropping at about a 25% drop rate, and when they drop should drop 3-4 of them.

these drop off of crystalline watchers, hunters, etc... usually drop 3 or 4 at a time.

and combine the threads as you go. They are a common drop and spiders often drop more than one at a time.
End up with xp, skill points in tailoring, and sooner or later the quest pieces you need.

Almost forgot to mention you'll need a special sewing kit to work with crystalline stuff. Bought mine in Thurg.

Have u tried killing the spiders at the top of the ramps? They are higher level and seemed to have a higher drop rate for me.

bump

anyone that has more time than me been playing around in Velks ?

there are suppose to be many more instances of 3-4 threads dropping and when I hung out here for an afternoon/evening only saw instances of 1 thread dropping.

this will cause much butthurt with Velious release if the entire server is stuck on this Shawl, fighting tooth and nail for these threads....especially if you fail the combine

I don't think I've seen a spider drop more than 2 at once.

Are they no drop when you guys get them? I have it on my list of things to check, but I haven't gone to Velk's yet. If so they need to be changed, they should actually be droppable until about 8 months after velious.

Did some more research and if they are super rare it should probably stay the way it is. This thread in the old developer's forums (fourth post) suggests they were rarely dropped until a boost to their drop rate 6 months into velious.
