Were you here during the TMO reign? That shit definitely did NOT figure itself out, even though the devs gave it years to.

"that shit did NOT figure itself out"

how so? Some people got loot, some didnt.

Those who did not, didnt because they were bound by player made/GM enforced rules.

Remove the rules and you create parity. Violent, but effective parity.

Really though, do you see how even that response to your reply proves that these raid rules if anything are forcing poopsocking/neckbearding?

If everything is FFA contested, now it's choice not a requirement.

Remove the rules and you create a single guild dominating the entire server and preventing anyone else from raiding. That's not speculation, it's P99 history.

Having no rules was great if you were in that guild, but it sucked for the people in the many other guilds who never even got to see a dragon before. Under these oh-so terrible-rules all those guilds are now happily enjoying raid content ... and that's a bad thing because?

This part is my opinion piece on the subject - I disagree.

A-Team, Taken, BDA etc will likely never be able to instantly pull 30-40 ppl to go drop a mob. However, let's say we're in a anything goes FFA environment.

IB engages Statue of Rallos Zek.... and you train their ass off. Now what? Well they're dead or zoned out, so you engage. They train you, and now the tables turn.

How many train attempts does it take til again (my larger point) - people figure it the fuck out like humanity has done since the beginning of time.

Now suddenly maybe IB takes 3/4 pieces and BDA takes 1/4.

/random for first pick

And my even larger point - why would the staff give a remote shit about what happens to IB and BDA in that scenario.

900/1000 other players are off enjoying themselves.

The welfare warrior grown adults who dont want to share form a core of a guild, then that one guild shits on the entire server like a 3 year old child.

Why are you even attempting to argue no rules would be any different, it has already been proven.

One guild shitting it up for everyone may be want you want. But, don't act like if things were run your way it would be paradise when there is years of history on p99 to look at.
