My husband's family lives in AZ and we went there when visiting them. It was a terrible and surreal experience.
The restaurant was empty; we were the only people in there. A waitress came over quickly, she was friendly and took our drink orders right away. We were advised not to get the pizza by the rest of the family, so most of us ordered a variety of burger. We got no food for around 40 minutes. In that time, we heard what I can only describe as a medley of horrors come from the kitchen. First we heard screaming...a lot of screaming. Then we heard soft crying, then some odd creaking as though someone were rocking themselves back and forth. Finally we heard some manic laughter, followed by what I assume to be plates breaking. After 40 minutes or so, our waitress finally came out, but with only one burger. She said it was the only one we would be receiving. I noticed the burger had a ring of french fries around it in a circular pattern, and then leading up off the plate. I asked the waitress if this was normal, and she replied that she was being ordered to tell us to choke on our NOOSE burger. I asked if this was a joke, and she shook her head no and said she was sorry. She didn't even charge us for the meal, so hurray!

This cracked article I read awhile back says that almost all of the restaurants on Kitchen Nightmares go out of business after the show haha.
