I agree that D2 is better, but when that game came out and was really popular, I almost failed my first couple years of High school. Do you know what EQ+D2 do to school work? Absolutely nothing, because no school work gets done.

Gaming addiction is a real problem. I think it's Finland or Sweden (?) where it's officially recognized and dealt with more seriously. Here in the US I think it's lumped up with a million other addictions all under the same term. The problem is there's no organized approach to address it in the US.

I wonder if someday we'll have to be 18+ to game? Remember at one time during the medieval ages people of all ages drank almost exclusively alcohol because water would become contaminated. Don't think just because kids game it's always remain that way. If it's a real threat it'll eventually be restricted.

I doubt it, though I can see your point. I've been lurking over on Twitch and the amount of 10-17 year olds streaming is definitely going up.

As with anything else (food, alcohol, etc) its just about having some self discipline and taking it all in moderation...maybe that's what needs to be reinforced.
