Rogue - adds dimensional shrouding (no mobs can see through h/s, not even gods)

Monk - adds +10% to FD skill, makes flops no longer fail

Shadow Knight - proc an undead minion that is high level pet, short duration. Upon death grants the last of its life force to the knight (maybe 200 hp)

Necro - would love if it drained all mana (need to be full) and it raised an army of the dead (6 pets) that zerg a target (no pet control).[/QUOTE]

Rogues get an AA in later expansions (forget which, but I believe it was luclin) called 'shroud of stealth' (SOS) that basically no mobs can see through, minus a few that were intentionally made to see through SOS...Vex Thall and Ssra Temple come to mind.

Monk FD doesn't fail after ~100 skill points in....any fails afterwards are user error (ie; left autoattack on, timed casters poorly, stood up before mobs reset).

Sk's, warriors, Rangers and not sure which others do get a weapon later on that proc's a pet....sk and war weap is POP, forget where others are from....warrior one is awesome, procs little baby epic's (light sabers floating in the air).

Necros mages shamans and not sure if any others...they get an aa that gives swarm pets in later expansions.

Have you ever played a monk? FD fails all the time after 100 skill.

Just wondering, what makes the mage epic so hard? Are the targets really difficult to find and kill or are the drops just super rare, or something else?

At the moment (since the last patch) it looks like Ranger might be the hardest epic, as currently trade skill combiners are very broken. I've seen a few reports of rangers getting most of their work deleted near the end of the quest.

Consider yourselves warned, rangerlings. Haynar has mentioned a hotfix is being worked on (and is being wrapped up with the variable skill caps fix).

AFAIK each fight in the mage epic can probably be done with a single group (though probably not the same group for each fight), in that respect it is not so hard.

The 'difficulty' lies in obtaining the Mastery Staff of Earth; this is the 'planar fight' for the epic. This drops off one of the Hate minis, and rarely so at that. Now this may sound trivial; pop up to hate and cycle the name place holders every 80 hours and eventually you'll get your piece, right?

Well there is a problem, many forces will only go up to Hate if this mini is already up. People are not easily persuaded to go up to hate for the sake of killing PHers. Especially now Velious quest armor is out (hate armor is no longer very desirable at all).

The other problem is Hate is fairly commonly tracked and the respawn timer is slightly random, if you do trigger the mob to spawn, there is a good chance someone will get it before you (and, rub salt in the wound, try sell an MQ to the item you caused to spawn). Oh, and even if you spawn the mini, and get the pull, the vast majority of the time it won't drop the item you want.

Wizard epic is probably the easiest in terms of steps involved. There is a little running around at first that can be completed in about an hour, then it's literally three mobs: VS, Phinny, and the golem in Fear.

The mage epic by comparison has like a hundred little steps. Most aren't a huge deal (earth staff is the biggest epic nightmare in the game though), but you're in for a long slog even if everything goes well.

Comparing the wiki checklist for both those quests is actually pretty hilarious.

so mage epic is the hot cheerleader president of school body honors student girl (named majiq) everyone wants to bang, but the only people who bang her are the select big dog alpha males who are just self-destructive enough to blow fat lines (drugs) so they can mad dog the enemy team (get FTE) and score a winning touch down (kill the God of Hate in his own home and take from his corpse the most valuable of treasures)

warrior epic is a super hot chick, hotter than Magiq, her name is Tallan, and she is definitely bi-sexual. If you play your cards right (combine her in the scabbard) you can even have a three-some. She's a bit of a trick (see WTS green scales threads) so don't be surprised if some upstart running-back with a rich dad is suddenly dual wielding your beautiful girlfriend. She is often overhyped for her hotness but probably worth every penny for the increase in your social standing once getting her.

SK is the emo/goth/kawaii babe who has sat next to you for years but you're just too scared to go for her. she's artistic, nihilistic, and sadistic. You heard that in 6th grade she let a dog lick her snatch. The only guys that get her are the ones who wear 100% hot topic clothes and their moms let them have big ass swords at home. But don't be fooled, these dudes are Jacked Alphas even if they dress lame. She's not a slut at ALL, but once she's in your hands you can use her wiles to seduce your enemies and then kidney punch them unawares. Most people don't understand how hard it is to date this girl, nor do they understand the cost of keeping her dank in hot topic and throwing daggers.

Bard is the bangin' flute soloist. This one used to be hard to get until she lost her virginity. Now she realizes she LOVES sex. Went down from a 7 day Bottleneck to a 24 hr bottleneck and you Can Call Her Anytime Bae[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] (spawn undead trak). Yes, she is a bit of a hoor and likes gifts such as sterling silver bracelets and rhinestone baubles (white dragon scales).

One of my personal favorites is the wizard epic. The wizard epic is the girl who has been in your home room for the past 10 years. She's a fucking nerd but now she's a nerd with a real honest to god bust. You're more handsome than she is but she's smarter than you. It's real easy to get her to be your GF, all you have to do is Destroy Venril Sathir the Lich of Karnor's Castle and Give her the Pulsating Stone (ask her out). It turns out she gives the best fellatio in the whole Elf School and is well worth the investment! You still won't get invited to any parties, though.

The OP really should have asked which is the easiest to obtain for a brand new player.

If you're brand new, have no gear, not a lot of friends on p99 (if any) and aren't in a guild capable of hitting high level/high value targets, almost all of the epics are near equal in difficulty.
