Chanters, Post Your Best Save Stories!

Back when I started leveling Vaedir up, Suze a druid, Karagos a warrior, and 2 other members from indignation at the time and myself were in Kaesora camping Xalgoz for the fang to get into HS. Something happened where our monk pulled the pather and ended up failing the flop and returned back to camp with about 14 mobs. Druid was oom within a minute and I found myself locking down all the mobs with no theft of thought available yet. All in all we had one person die but we all managed to keep it together with everyone freaking out as our druid was right about to die and had only 5 pct health left. I have to say it was pure madness and I was really on the fence on how well I could simultaneously keep 14 mobs locked down when AOE mez only hits 4 at a time with a 30 second recast time..AND the string of resists I was getting at my level..but by the time we had it down to 3 mobs I released my clenched butt cheeks and made a long /phew.

Of course I have had near misses and incredible chance saves but this one takes the cake for me as my most memorable one to date on p99 and live.

Anyone else here have some incredible stories of saving your group/your ass? I am pretty sure we all have seen some crazy events leveling up!

Out of curiosity, how did you keep them locked down? Assuming you didn't stun lock.

Single mez/roots? AE mez in groups of 4 distanced from each other? And what do you mean about 30 second recast time?

Was a combination of aoe mez and tabbing to hit another 4 and with entrance single mobs that were out of place. GTT really saved me on this one as I could see when a mez was about to break. the ~30 seconds is the time it takes to refresh an aoe mesmerization / fascination. I believe I did use stun in conjunction with the other spells but this was last year sometime, either way made it out alive

Save had just formed <From Chaos> and it was him, me, and Beverage (a cleric better known for rolling an SK called Sodomize Theelderly, and an all around fun guy). A few months later Save and I would rename that guild <The A-Team>.

Save had lost another set of HS keys to the login server, and so we decided to clear through. We fought the entire North room in one go, so we were feeling cocky. And this was back before assist aggro, so the roamer in HS West above the drop down was an absolute death trap. He would path the long way around and aggro everything in every room on the way. Unfortunatley I don't have good screenshots, but the logs are fun to read.
