Hello my friend and I are going to be starting characters on the server and were wondering what the best duo of classes would be.

I'm not sure which forum this went under so I just put it under off topic.

Melee/Healer combo or pet caster/cloth caster are good combinations, they all have their benefits depending on which specific classes.

Yep, lots of people have. Necromancers, Magicians, Druids, Enchanters are some of the most played classes on here. You might be able to add Shamans to that list too. Bards, Rogues, and Rangers are some of the least played classes. Paladins and ShadowKnights are probably somewhere in between.

Try a necro and enchanter. It would be a big learning curve, but a necro told me he wanted to pair with a chanter. Is this a viable pairing?

Also... necro and enchanter would give you some flexibility regardless of whether it's a good pairing.
