Level 55 EXP required.

Forgive me if I missed a thread in my search, but I couldn't see anything on this.

Is the EXP chart on the wiki incorrect for 50+? Solo DB kills at 54 were moving my bar at least a pixel worth of blue if not two per kill, now at 55 it took 3 DB kills for one pixel. I know by virtue of this I've answered my own question, but why does the information on wiki show that 55 is faster than 54?

Well, regardless of memories of live, the EXP required per level chart on the wiki shows that 55 should be faster, but the EXP bar's behavior shows otherwise.

Someone needs to remove that chart, makes for sad times!

55 is faster than 54. Not sure what your killing or how your killing but you must be doing something wrong. I just went through those levels in December and it was painfully slow going through 54. 55 I barely noticed because it went so fast.

False ... at least as of the last few weeks. I don't know how things should be, but the two are currently about the same.

I know this because I just leveled from 54 to 55 recently, and now I'm almost to 56. The entire time I've been killing the same mobs (giants at the fort in Burning Woods), and I can assure you that there is either little or no difference in the leveling speed from 54=>55 vs. 55=>56: both take about three Forest Giant Ancients per 1%.

P.S. In all fairness this was not a scientific study: I don't always get three ancients in a row, and even when I do I don't always check my percentage change, and even when I do that I still have the unseen 0-50% of 1% that I can't account for. But subjectively the two feel about the same, and when I objectively have tried to measure the exp speed (which I did several times in each level) I kept getting the 3 ancients = 1% rate.

Hell levels are different in 50s. The jump in exp required is much higher from 53 to 54 than it is from 52 to 53. However, the total amount of exp required per level is always increasing from 51 to 59. In that sense 51 to 59 are all hell levels, it's just that 54 and 59 are extra spicy

It was 2.5 years ago but I don't really recall 54 feeling any different than 55 or 56 when doing FGs in BW.

2 weeks ago on my wizard I quadded through the same 8 mobs for both lvl 54 and 55. 55 is absolutly faster. Close to double, maybe not quite, but at 54 I'd get around .8% a quad, and at 55 I'd get around 1.5 a quad.
