Recent change makes XP with spread out levels much better:
[22.01.2013] - New: Experience clamp in groups is 20%. This means if your group leader is level 25 and you are level 20 you will still get the full XP with no penalty to help you to catch up with your level group. - Bugfix: After years of tedious research the NPC melee formulas are corrected to be as near as possible to live servers. Buffs and debuffs on NPC's will now be effective. Formula changes affect melee damage and defense of all NPC's. This means pet's will be stronger overall, especially with buffs. Depending on level the deviation to before can be quite a lot. Biggest differences should be visible in level 20-30 range as our formulas had the biggest deviations there. (#223) - Bugfix: Missrate formula corrected to behave original - Bugfix: Attacker count influence on missrate corrected - Bugfix: Missrate cap changed from 60% to 55% - Change: Missrate downregulates damage if >cap - Change: Missrate gives bonus to damage if <0% - Change: /xp off removed - Change: XP bonus for player kills reduced to +500% I'm currently messing around in Midgard as an L40 Skald & L40 Savage friend. We're doing pretty well in PvP, started out as level 36s several days ago and grped up with a buncha of 40-42s, and XP was flying way faster than I remember it did a year or so ago. The new zone XP % bonuses let you get 50% bonus xp on top of your capped XP if you go to the frontier (PvP dungeons accessable to all 3 realms at the same time, all the time).
