Default New to red p99

Never played a pvp server before, I'm looking to play a class that can solo, group, and not get totally wrecked in pvp. Not interested in playing a druid. Suggestions?[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Not trying to be a dick but this question is literally asked verbatim like every 2-3 days on these forums.

Necro and mage are decent for soloing, don't require any gear. But if you get jumped without levitate on, while on flat ground you could be in trouble. SK and paladin aren't bad for soloing, more gear dependent. Really you're best to pick a class that's wanted by groups since there is a large grouping bonus on Red99.

Cleric. You could solo your way to 52 if you really had to.

Solo'd til like 54 on mine, can do dead guk til 55+, with the grouping bonus that would never be an issue. And ya, shaman is probably the most versatile of the easier to solo classes, plus they duo well with almost anything.

1-49 Shaman really good at pvp. 50+ you're going to need to team up with people because of how easily people click off dots.

This is why shamans struggle. Any player that invests in cure pots will be immune to your most damaging spells.

Bane of Nife - 5 seconds to cast - 425 mana

Ethira's Poison Antidote - 2 second cast, 10pp per cast

so for 20pp and 4 seconds, you can counter a 5 second spell, which means you have drained 425 mana, who would have thought? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

On the flip side, shamans are compensated with being given a powerful heal over time, insane slows and nice resist debuffs. And even if their dots are curable, they are amongst the strongest dots in the game.
