Flame Bolt issue on Green
Greetings and Salutations,
I've noticed that flame bolt on Green seems to be dependent on z-axis position of me and the mob as to whether or not it works. IE, If I'm standing on a mountain and my pet is tanking a mob below me, if I cast flame bolt there is a high likely hood that it won't hit, no message indicates that it missed or was resisted, it just simply vanishes. Is this an intended mechanic? | ||

bolts can run into terrain, yes it is classic. in classic, sometimes the bolts would circle the head of tall targets until they could figure out the pathing.

Bolts would also sometimes hit their targets twice if they were higher than you. It's unclear if that was just a client-side effect though - you'd see the "hit by non-melee" twice but apparently the 2nd hit didn't actually happen, or so I've heard.

Noted, thank you. I don't remember any terrain being in the pathing but I'll watch out for it from now on.

Any solid object inbetween you and your target will stop the projectile, be it an arrow or a mage flame bolt

Oh and it will hit other mobs if they interfere with the trajectory. Seems fine while grouped as it doesnt hit group members or friendly pets. I like the projectiles...the 300 range is just great for pulling.
