Necro is also a good choice, very versatile class. As an iksar necro you should just be aware that almost every non iksar NPC will hate you. Almost... it's a quest on its own to find the exceptions.
One word of caution: if you want to function in a group, be aware that you should use totally different tactics in such a setting. DoTting is usually not the way to go when mobs die pretty fast, your dots will be wasted. But necros can be pretty nice healers if they dedicate themselves to it. | ||

I'm not sure what DoTing is to be quite honest. The leveling as an Iksar is extremely slow, so I may try a fighter or Monk instead. Hopefully it isn't quite as slow.

DoT = damage over time. Those spells that do some dmg to the enemy every 6 seconds.
Since some of them run for 2 minutes it's wasted in groups as enemies die much faster. | ||

I'll remember what DoT means if I decide to try Necromancer again. @Menadwen I went with Monk on my second character. I enjoyed Druids in D2 and WoW, so I'll have to give one a look. | ||
