I wish we could get the colors/lighting to work on here. I think that's an issue with the client though so we may never get it fixed unless server-side they can tweak colors/lighting.
Loved the pics though! Dorfs never get enough credit!

I checked the color value. It's exactly the same, and has no change in history. Most likely all the graphics changes/lighting.

I would take into account the switch in DX.
That changed a lot of things. | ||

Changing the lighting is just asking for people to never roll human or barbarian ever again, besides I'm sure it's not just global lighting, infact I'm fairly certain it's because we're not playing on Compaq Presarios loaded with voodoo 2 drivers and the like

I figured it out somewhat:
Before lighting changes with DX9: [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] After: [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I used an injected DLL to try this. I disabled DX9 lighting in d3d9. I'll post it once I get approval, I don't know if it can be considered an active hack or not. This oddly does not disable torches/laterns, as they are rendered using models similar to water. They will NOT reflect as much light however.

How do you get the old looking mage pet? I checked the settings in game and wasn't able to find the anything to change them back.
