wizard, ae, steal aggro, run off.
Cleric heal him steal aggro run off...
ench ae mez half of them, steal aggro, run off...

of course, a chanter + druid doing this setup....
i have always wanted to do it at the guards people were farming.... and as these aren't usually kited, a simple chanter, charm, haste and fun ensues when people try to kill hasted mobs... :D

The ideas in this thread lack creativity. Rooting and sowing? Stuff that any halfway decent bard won't die to and can neutralize in 3 seconds per mob while staying safe with bardspeed. AEing and whatnot? Too obvious what's going on, you'll get petitioned and punished.
Imo hurt a 51+ mob that is kos to the bard, charm it, run over by the bard, then hat out.

Doesn't even have to be kos, just run it into the bard's ae.

That's violating rules on training though.
Giving mobs sow (scale of wolf maybe?) at least has plausible deniability.
"I'm a druid and I was roleplaying, protecting the animalz with buffs! :3"
I thought I heard people zoning in caused small blips of lag for swarm kiters. Grab 30 people and zone in at once?

Yeah. And then get to level 56. And then rage quit. And then make a thread about how everyone should join the E-Z server. And talk incessantly about growing tomatoes.
Worked for this guy ^

To be fair, some of us are very careful to leave mobs for other people in zone.
I'm pretty sick of dealing with this "hey it's a bard it's ok to kill him" mentality when I go out of my way to pull mobs from the deep recesses of the zone where no one bothers to pull, like the snow in Dreadlands or around the scorpions in OT. Oh but bards are all the enemy no mobs 4us funnee to kill tham

You sound bad at EQ, and mad.
It's gonna be obvious when I'm gathering a kite and one of the mobs is SoW'd. I just charm it in the 3 second cast time, instant dispell, then laugh at you wasting 3 hours of your time SoWing mobs on a porting class while I got 4 yellows of XP.

confirmed as best way to fuck someone's day up
snare is also just as effective mid-kite. also, you can just run into the bard and make them stumble / block them... and they're dead. there is also no proof via logs that you killed them when you block them.
that said, anyone who randomly runs up and kills a bard kiting is just butthurt and deserves everything coming to him. jelly neckbeards gonna jelly.

It's dumb that people get mad at bards, really. A bard is just doing what a bard does, earning crazy xp. It's not like they really have much else going for them besides that, running fast, and resist songs. When was the last time you saw a bard swimming in piles of PP because of all the king/crypt/south he farmed solo/duo/at all?
And it's ESPECIALLY dumb to complain about a bard in a zone like OT. The god damn zone is MADE for bards. It's flat, it's wide open, it's outdoors, it's huge. Bards should be complaining about all the rest of you being in there, not the other way around.

I'm glad I got through the annoying kiting phase for Bards before it became popular/annoying.
