Starting a mage need some help

I know race isn't all that important but what would be the better choice for a mage and also should I go with Int or stamina? My mage is going to be paired up with my cousin's wizard do you guys think mage/wiz is better than wiz/enc?

mage /enc better than mage/wiz..while its fun to blow things up and port...thats all they can do. Enchanters have many roles....best of which in my opinion when duoing is the idea of single pulls
