View Full Version : Any rogues been able to level Disarm Trap?

I know there isn't a huge use for this in classic, but it's nice to be able to at least level the skills you have available to you. It's my understanding that you need to be near a trap to effectively level this? It will raise w/o a trap near by, but really slowly. Do I have this correct?

Regardless I have hit it a lot (not a ton), and never received a skill up. I also headed to SolA, and SolB yesterday, and none of the traps in either zone worked for me to sense or disarm them (swinging axe in SolA, crushing stone in SolB). Anyone else get this to work? Know of other locations that this should work/I could try?

I want to create a bug report, but want to make sure I get the facts all straightened out before I do.

My bard is having the same issues.
Can't even sense the traps in SolA or SolB. I'm pretty sure it's just plain old broken.

Anyone else? or does anyone know of the location of more traps that were detectable/disarmable?

In Velious era, a rogue could Disarm at least three traps:
a) Sol A pendulums,
b) Sol B masher,
c) Tim Deep secret firepot (near Bloated Belly dock).
--
d) Splitpaw pendulums near Ishva Mal (not tested on Live if disarmable)

Both these skills are raising for my bard, however, the traps themselves never actually get disarmed (even upon successful skill usage), so it does seem to still be broken.
