Best 1h for paladin?

What is, in your opinion, the best classic droppable 1h for a paladin? Been wondering what to save for, I thought SSoY would work well, But I'm sure there is better ?

You're insane. The ghoulbane is droppable and sells for between 600-800p.

I think you are referring to the *Quested* version of ghoulbane. That quest was added later and the resulting weapon was No-Drop. This is classic. There is no quest and the version that drops from the Shin Lord in Upper Guk is very drop-able. In fact I bought one in EC two or 3 weeks ago

There is no Quested version or Dropped version it is the same weapon regardless.

Yes the quest was added later, yes the only way to obtain this in classic was to camp the Shin lord OR buy one. Shortly into Kunark I believe it was changed to No Drop (Including the dropped version from lord) because of its use in the epic 1.0.

So this should stay tradeable until Kunark is released I imagine.

Maybe my mind is foggy too, but I thought the Ghoulbane quest wasn't put in until near the SoV release. A good portion of Kunark went passed before I remember those items started dropping. Or so I think.

Nice weapon! Wish I raided Hate a lot so I could get one...even if I had one though, I would still use Ghoulbane when fighting the undead, which as a paladin, I do quite frequently.

Aldryn, Blade of the Ocean (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=5604) is probably the best oldschool 1hs imo. (It's sky-quested and no-drop though).

Well, Erudites can't use the BFG :(, or Kerran Fishing pole, or Qeynos Shield. Off the top of my head.

Edit: Not to mention easily the best Paladin stats in the game. Erudite/Paladin is THE worst combination stat-wise for any class in the game. No one was playing the combination so Verant tried to entice people to play them with better loot. I'm assuming they just slapped the HUM tag on Aldryn because honestly there were probably very few ERU/PAL who could even complete a PoSky quest at the time, but it's totally an Erudite Paladin themed weapon.
