Solusek Mages - Firewalker Boots

Hello all,

I have been camping the Solusek Mages around the High Shaman spawn in Sol A trying to get Firewalker Boots to drop for my Bard. I have killed probably 25-30 of these with no luck. Is this drop notoriously hard to get or is it possible something is bugged?

It dropped from the first Mage I killed outside of the High Shaman room

I got Firewalker Boots yesterday so I can confirm they are definitely still dropping. They are just very rare. I probably had to kill 15-20 Mages myself to get them. I got them in the room before the Throne Room. There is a 2 spawn pair that are almost always a Solusek Champion on the left and a Solusek Champion or Mage (about 50/50) on the right. I kept this room and the King's room clear. Never saw a Mage pop in the King's room but I did see several Champions. In fact, I didn't see a Mage pop anywhere except the right spawn in the room before the TR.

My advice would be to keep it up. You will get them eventually, they are just very rare.

I had a rough time with this too. Personally, I think your chances are much better around Lynada the Exiled (#20 on the wiki map). Use caution though, pathing is a little nuts...
