quest items to the wrong npc

Yesterday I accidentally gave the items for a quest turn in to the quest NPC's pet, rather than the quest NPC. If I go back and kill that pet, will it drop the items that I gave it?

Try petitioning the GMs to get the items back.

Items given to NPCs do not get added to their item table on this server. They are just gone.

I had done this a while back while doing the headband quest in Qeynos on my monk. Ended up doing it all over again.

If it is something that will take longer than it would to get a response from a GM... I would go down that route and let them know. If you can recreate the same items faster, just do it IMO. It's not worth the wait if it's something you can do in a day. Could end up waiting longer than it'd take to redo it.
